What are Rubber Blocks used for?
Hard Rubber blocks (also known as rubber packers and rubber buffers) can be used in a multitude of applications in many different industries. The heavy-duty blocks act as shock absorbers by taking the load from the energy transmitted from moving objects. Because of this, they can be used in almost any application where energy needs absorbing, such as impacts from reversing trucks and lorries, boat fendering, wall protection, lifting pads and even wheel chocks!
Types of Rubber Blocks
We have a comprehensive range of blocks in our extrusion catalogue, all of which are ready to manufacture from in high-quality EPDM 70 shore material. We can manufacture from different materials, however, based on EPDM’s range of qualities we will always recommend this material over the other types. If you’re unsure which material is best for you, check out our blog here.
There are several types of blocks that we manufacture, most of which are solid square blocks and rectangular blocks. However, we also have a range of hollow rubber blocks to choose from such as blocks with square and round centres. These may be applicable to those who want a cord running through the middle, or for those who want to reduce the cost of the profile (since less rubber is used).
If you cannot find a profile which is close to your requirements, send our sales team an enquiry and we can manufacture a new die.
