Bespoke Rubber Extrusion Profiles

Aside from offering a comprehensive range of standard rubber profiles to choose from, Walker Rubber can also produce your custom designed profiles. We have over 80 years under our belt and have a highly experienced sales team to guide you through the entire process.

Take a look at our standard range of rubber extrusions here.

We often manufacture bespoke extrusions for our customers, maintaining unrivalled service and fast delivery times throughout. It’s a very simple process and starts with you getting in touch with us; simply give us a call on 01603 904372, or make an enquiry using our online enquiry form. Once we have received your enquiry, we may require more information based on your application and custom design, at this point we’ll get in touch with you. Once we have all the information we need, we will provide you with a quotation - usually within 24 hours. Then if you decide to place an order, you can either order new tooling with a rubber sample for you to inspect yourself, or you can let us do the hard work and we can inspect in house. Once you’re happy with your sample, we can proceed with manufacturing the bulk of the order!

What are your lead times on custom rubber extrusions?

Our standard lead times for developing a new die and then sending out a sample is 10 working days. Following on from this, the lead time for bulk orders are usually 10 working days too, however for larger orders this can sometimes take longer. If you require your rubber extrusions sooner, please let us know and we can look into expediting your order, pushing it to the front of the manufacturing schedule.

One of the many benefits of manufacturing in house is that it enables us to react quickly to our customer’s urgent requirements. In some instances, we have been able to manufacture new tooling and the bulk of the order within 1 working day!

Case Study: Rubber Hatch Seal Replacements on Dredging Vessel.

We were recently asked to provide a custom rubber hatch seal for a dredging vessel which required replacing. The seal is used as a door seal on the bottom discharge system on the vessel. 10 door seals required replacing and our customer had been let down by their own supplier who’s lead time had been delayed as a result of Covid-19. So, who do you turn to when one of Europe’s largest hatch seal manufacturing companies fails to deliver and your dredger needs to get back to sea urgently? Walker Rubber of course! After being sent a sample, we had an engineer quickly scan in the cross section of the seal, this was then drawn up, quoted and ordered. In just 5 working days we did what our much larger competitor wanted 5 more weeks to do….and at half the cost too!
